3 EASY EGG BREAK-FAST RECIPES FOR BEGINNERS.

Today the world is changing quick and we have to adapt to the pace,In this ever changing scenario one thing that doesn’t change is the need to eat.Many of us are away from our families for our job,for our education, to find new avenues. It’s important to eat on time,eat healthy and nourishing food. The street or junk food is good for a change not on every day basis. So let’s begin with 3 easy-to-do recipes which even dummies can cook. I will share one recipe every day this week.

LET’S BEGIN: TODAY’S RECIPE

1. SALI PAR EDU(EGGS ON FRIED POTATOES)

It is basically a traditional Parsi dish but I happened to see it by chance on a T.V channel (Food.ndtv.com) in one of their episodes featuring Aditya a well known chef in India. Who was rating the hotels in Mahabaleshwar which is a tourist destination in Maharashtra.

  • (THE INGREDIENT LIST IS FOR 1 PERSON,YOU CAN USE THE GIVEN MEASUREMENTS TO INCREASE THE QUANTITY. 😀)

COURSE:INDIAN EASY BREAK-FAST(BRUNCH) RECIPES.

PREP TIME:5minutes

COOK TIME :5 MINUTES

TOTAL  TIME:10 – 12 MINUTES.

LEVEL OF COOKING: EASY.

INGREDIENTS :

  • Egg : 1 large or 2 small
  • Tomato  : 1/2 TSP (tea spoon)finely chopped.
  • Potato sticks : 1 TBSP (tablespoon,) thinly sliced
  • Onion : 1 TBSP (finely chopped)
  • Coriander  : 1 TSP (Finely chopped)
  • Butter/ Ghee/Oil  : 1TSP
  • Salt : To taste
  • Chili powder : To taste
  • Turmeric : 1 pinch
  • Black pepper powder  : 1 pinch
  • [You can add host of other finely chopped vegetables to create the base.]

PREPARATION :

  • 1. Heat the pan on medium flame, add oil to it,when it’s at the right temperature, add the chopped potato sticks,fry till golden brown and crisp. Remove from flame and keep aside on the kitchen towel to drain excess oil.(You can also make the potato sticks in air fryer)
  • In the same pan,heat the butter or ghee, add the chopped onion,tomato, coriander, potato sticks, saute and add turmeric, chili powder and mix,add a pinch of salt to the mix.
  • After sautéing the above mix, make a flat base with the help of a spatula, on it break the egg and add salt and pepper and close the lid and let it simmer for 2 mins and switch off the flame
  • If you want the egg runny switch off the flame a minute early and remove the dish in a proper serving plate to restrict  heating it further. [The time to switch off the flame will depend on the consistency of the egg i:e runny or hard.]
  • Serve it nice and hot.

TIP: USING THIS RECIPE AS A BASE YOU CAN ADD OR SUBTRACT ANY OTHER VEGETABLES OR INGREDIENTS YOU WANT 😉 YOU CAN ALSO ADD READY-MADE FINGER CHIPS OR POTATO WAFERS TO SAVE YOUR COOK TIME.
