tikkazndcurriez.in

With the Advent of Ganesh Utsav Here in India, officially season of festivities has begun, one after the other festivals are all lined up and it continues way beyond 5 to 6 months.
For the ladies of the house it’s also a time to gliter in the sparkle of the season but it also is a time when we have guests visiting our house too😄 Sometimes when you are the only One who will be handling all the responsibilities, it can become daunting, difficult, stressful and challenging. It also means instead of enjoying the occasion the dread of playing the host can bring the monster’s 👽 of the fear out, blame game, shouting, confusion, irritation and unnecessary mistakes and wastes of time, money and material will destroy the peace and Joy of the occasion.
So here are some life-saving tips and tricks you can use 😉
FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY :
- Before the guests arrive YOU have to look good and feel good too 😀 It’s NOT just about the HOUSE 😄 Therefore make a list of things you will need to do – A) Things to do the day before B) Things to do 1 to 2 hours before C) Things to do right away ✅
- Decide before hand what you all will be wearing, especially the kids who are dependent on you, If the dress is new, slightly press and keep it to remove any creases, check the accessories. If it’s an old one send it to the laundromat, bring it a day before .Right before the occasion to avoid any mishap. Keep the clothes in a dedicated corner or place where it is readily accessible along with the shoes or sandals you will be wearing.
- Going to salon, washing your hair and all the beauty treatments should be categorically planned 😌 So that you are properly rested before the occasion.
- Decide the dress theme for you and your guests and accordingly plan on your make-up and hair style. If you are the one who is going to cook,Do make-up an hour before, NOT before that or chances are that the sweat and rush will spoil your look. Make the kids ready half hour prior if they are very young, they tend to spoil their dress and make-up 😅

HOME:
- As much as we care about ourselves, it’s also important that our home reflects us,we are all glam and the house is in mess doesn’t look good at all, so decide on How you want your house to look? The curtains, the draperies ,the cutlery, Your dining etc. STICK to a theme and follow it to the” T“
- Not just the outer sitting area but the day before clean all the washrooms, change the hand-towels,keep scented aroma sticks, Add new soaps or refill the hand wash, change the bathroom mats. Keep slippers for the guests to wear while using your washroom or powder room, to avoid any inconvenience to you or them.
- Your sitting area is heaven and well decorated BUT in your hurry you have dumped everything in the bedroom (NOT SO COOL) There are going to be some Pesky, nosy guests 😉 who will be interested in seeing how your other rooms are looking 🤪 You will not like to give your guests fodder to discuss how untidy your bedrooms were. So change the bedsheets a day before, if possible change the curtains a week before so you can match your linens accordingly. Sweep, vacuum, remove the dust, add some lovely flower arrangements on your bed side table. MAKE IT PINTREST READY 🥰❤

FOOD :
- Sit with your family and decide the menu in advance 😋 Some things to consider while planning
- A) Number of Guests
- B) Time of the day
- C) Some items reserved for Kids if any.
- D) WHO IS GOING TO ASSIST YOU 👀???? It’s the most important question 🤔 Because if you plan an elaborate menu and you alone would be doing the cooking, you will miss the fun and end up frustrated, angry, upset and panicked.
- When deciding the menu depending on the number of guests decide practically whether it has to be a main course or you can add snacks to the menu instead of a heavy 3 course meal.
- If it’s possible and feasible, prepare some items a day before or night before, Some items or dishes can be made an hour before like Kachori or Samosa and slightly fry to heat it when the guests arrive. Dishes which need to be served fresh like Dosa, idli keep the batter ready to make. You can also order 1 to 2 items from out to add variety 😀
- If the crowd is big, arrange a buffet it looks chic and brings you respite, because as the guests are doing self-service you do not need to be on your toes and also avoids wastage of food 😀
- Some tips for arranging the Buffet : As your guests will be self serving. See that the arrangement is not complicated, if possible put a name plate in front of the dishes, the table cloth napkins, dishes, glasses and cutlery are all properly made accessible. Area to dispose of the waste, tissue papers, bowls all should have a properly marked space.
