Easy festive sweet recipe, - Paneer Firni

It’s that time of the year when we are entering the festive season. It’s important that we are prepared not only for the festival with our best dresses and looks but our house and kitchen is festive ready too.

For the ladies of the house it’s also a time when they have to create festive sweets for the families friends and the guests. It’s an exciting and overwhelming experience at the same time. As most of us are now working professionals.

So in these coming blogs I will be sharing some easy recipes with which you can wow your guests and in return get praises for your unique recipes.

Paneer ki kheer is not an often made recipe, but this pudding will surely make you fall in love with it as it is healthy, nutritious and most important simple,quick and easy to make.

Ingredients

  • Milk : 2 liter

  • Cottage cheese : 250 grams.
    (Grated and kept aside)

  • Cornflour : 1 tablespoon.

  • Sugar : 6 tablespoons OR according to your taste preference.

  • Cardamom 1/4 teaspoon or 1 and 1/2 pinch.

  • Dry fruit powder OR Milk masala powder or any essence of your choice

  • Saffron strands and Rose petals for garnishing.

Directions

  • Boil the milk in a pan on medium flame
  • When the milk is nearly at the boiling point,prepare a slurry of cornflour by adding little water and add it the milk.
  • Reduce the milk to the required consistency OR till it’s nearly on the thicker side.
    Allow it to completely cool down, Do not add Paneer Or Tofu at this stage or the milk will curdle.
  • After the milk has completely cooled down, add the cottage cheese to it( Grate it to get a more beautiful texture to the pudding.
  • Add the sugar, vanilla essence (Can choose any essence of your choice)
  • Keep stirring till the sugar is dissolved, add Dry fruit powder and give a final stir
  • Keep it in the refrigerator and allow it to cool,serve it with dried rose petals as a welcome dish or as a dessert after a heavy meal 😋
  • You can add cardamom powder or any other essence of your choice. Instead of Paneer( cottage cheese) you can also use Grated Tofu.
  • You can garnish with rose petals and saffron strands,to complete the look before serving.
