What do you think gets better with age?
The Power Of Letting Go .
” A reminder to be truly present in our own lives and liberated from our past and future. It can transform your thinking. The result? More joy, right now.”
Oprah Winfrey in 0 : The Oprah Magazine.

We are social beings living in communities or creating societies Bonds and relations comes naturally to us. God has endowed us with this unique ability to think ,make decisions which other species do not possess. But better decisions happen when you arrive at a time in your life called as “Aging gracefully ” Many people grow by age,not by character or maturity.
When it comes to taking decisions which involve something or someone we cherish or hold important or valuable,we fumble,go back and forth. Isn’t it natural. As people we have been brought up with values to protect and care and forgive it is a difficult decision to let go and move on. We try to hold on to that vision in our mind of that thing, person or institution which was somewhere in the past an important part of our life.
People change, situations change, institutions change, nothing remains permanent, “CHANGE IS THE ONLY CONSTANT ” If we understand this simple thing, life becomes easy. Making decisions based on emotions or feelings is unwise. Maturity teaches you that.
As you become older, you realize pleasing people or the organization you work in or the relations you are in is not the most important thing to do, if it costs you, your peace. Holding on to grudges or false hope both are incorrect. As you age,you learn to value your peace of mind. It is the most important thing. So it’s important to LET GO all those things, which do not serve your purpose. It’s important to Let go of the expectations we have from other people, that causes pain.It is important part of growing to understand that not all will love you or do for you as you did for them because everyone’s priorities will be,are going to be different. Holding on to expectations will make it worse.
At the end ,Maturity Experience,Learning to let go,Self love are just some of the things you learn as you grow. As ECKHART TOLLE says in his book ” The Power Of Now” It’s important to let go of the psychological time, learn to use time in the practical aspects of your life.We may call it the ” clock time” it just simply means bringing yourself in the present and not living in the past.
Beautifully written. I think we become more experienced with age. 😁
